Romans 3
Sorry for the late post! I was too lazy to switch on the computer yesterday.Romans 3 talks about God's fatihfulness. A God that is faithful despite our own unfaithfulness. The passage talks alot of the law, Jews and Gentiles, but don't let the complexity stop you from reading it again and again till you understand it. Here's my summary of it The law is like a mirror (sounds familiar?). it does not correct sin but reflects the sinfulness of our life, and so much more our need for grace. God justifies us through faith in Jesus (justification: God declaring us not guilty for our sins) Christ paid the price of our sinfulness with his blood because a Holy God cannot just simply 'overlook' our sins. :) any questions, anything you don't understand feel free to ask. Will try to help answer if I can and then, Romans may be a difficult book, but it gives a very good overview of the gospel, of the OT- because of Paul's training as a Pharisee earlier. |
